Midsummer BBQ at Cellar Bay

What a glorious weekend for our midsummer BBQ.  We anchored in near perfect conditions with Yealm Head and the trees on Misery Point protecting us from the light to gentle breeze from the east and south east and then set

up our BBQs on the rocks (others had grabbed the beach before us).  Spare ribs, sausages and lamb burgers cooked (deliberately) from rare to charred washed down with fine wines, beer and coke, great company and the odd song and story and watching the sun go down.  All with banjo background from Peter and Muffin of Ragamuffin and Dartmouth Yacht Club (honorary club members for the evening).

Then on Sunday, pub lunches followed by broad reaches and fetches in sunshine and a gentle breeze all the way home.  Doesn’t get better than that – what a shame so many club members weren’t able to join us.

The mystery of the day:  have we persuaded others that Pimms might taste better with ginger ale than lemonade?
